On Montreal's attractiveness: I think at least for (a) player(s) with European roots, the weather may actually be a draw too and taxes not so much of an issue either. I am sure Slaf feels sort of like at home in Montreal, weather-wise and even culture-wise (relative to the US). You can't play golf in December in most of Europe either and some people like it the way they're used to from their youth rather than having to boil in the sun all year long. Just saying.
